Tara Hohenberger - Public Relations
Where are you from? A little town on Long Island called Bohemia, NY.
What do you do for Kollabora? I spread the word and make connections with other folks making great things.
What was the first thing you made? My mom is a big knitter and a great cook and baker, so we've been doing that since before I can remember.
What was the last thing you made? I just got a VitaMix so have been blending everything in site! Recently, a kale pesto for grits and poached eggs comes to mind.
What inspires you? I love to see creative people combining surprising unexpected things together, whether it's ingredients and food, colors, objects or materials for a project. It makes me feel that anything is possible.
What is your favorite thing in the world? It's not quite a thing, but nothing makes me happier than drinking good wine and eating with the people I love.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? Oceanographer / Dolphin Trainer
What was your first job? I majored in Geography at my university and worked in the department's office. They had just received a massive trove of photographs from a benefactor who passed away and I got to catalog and tag thousands of travel photos. It was pretty terrific.
What was the best thing you did this summer? I just got back from a trip to Nantucket with one of my oldest friends. I wish all days could be full of this much lobster and laughter, clear blue beach days and bright starry skies.
