To Our Members Affected by Sandy and How You Can Help by Kollabora Follow

posted 7 months ago

For members affected by Sandy's destruction, we want to extend our sympathies and hopes that you and your families are safe and sound. Team Kollabora is located on the East Coast, many live in New York and our office is located in SoHo, and we know first hand how overwhelming the aftermath of a situation like this can be.

We are currently doing our best to keep the website up and running so that we can can continue to connect with and serve our amazing creative community. Keep in mind that due to issues with transportation in affected areas, deliveries from Kollabora.com may be delayed.

In the meantime, our community support team is here if you need to reach us for any reason. Email us at knock@kollabora.com with any questions, concerns, or comments but please be aware that it may take a bit longer than usual to respond, as we have team members stranded in Germany and Chicago while others are working remotely from home. We appreciate your continued patience as we work through this situation.

We also want to help out where we can, so let us know if there are volunteer or disaster relief centers in your area so we can share them with the rest of the community. You can also donate directly to Sandy relief efforts both here and in the Caribbean through the American Red Cross and Global Giving, and get more info on disaster reponse and assistance through FEMAAmeriCares, and Feeding America. Also make sure to check out FEMA's tips to insure you are donating and volunteering with a reputable organization

Stay safe,
The Kollabora Team

Thanks for your comment. Just to be extra safe during this very difficult time, Team Kollabora is supporting the Red Cross and their relief efforts. We've removed HSRF  to reflect this.

Community coming together is what its really all about! We encourage all of you to donate, or volunteer your time and creative efforts where you feel most comfortable.

Hi bbob - thanks for bringing this up! We're currently doing some research and thought we'd pass on FEMA's tips for making sure you are donating and volunteering with a reputable organization http://www.fema.gov/volunteer-donate-responsibly
