We don't know about you, but thank everything in the universe that it's the weekend! Just give us some sunshine, our knitting needles, and maybe a few cocktails - cos we're in full chill mode after another busy, busy week at Kollabora HQ.

We're taking DIY out of this world with our newest web series, Nora Meets the Makers! Jump in on our inaugural episode with embroidress, maker, and author Jessica Marquez.

What's on your "must-sew" list for summer? We're always on the lookout for the perfect warm weather top and these member projects have got us prepping our fabric and machines asap.

It took your momma nine months to make ya, take a few hours to make her something nice for Mother's Day (um, it's tomorrow btw). And while you're at it, download and print this adorable card by Ciera Design to round out your gift.

Get caught up on the Flapper Necklace Make-a-Long with Max from Moxy Metals, we started ours and can't wait to make two or three more!

Uber-talented blogger Brittni Mehlohf from Paper & Stitch introduces us to another one of her amazing DIY BFFs, Kelly from Studio DIY. Check out their interview and prepare to get inspired!

We're so excited to be working with Wanett from the awesome blog, Sown Brooklyn! She dives right in by sharing her experience with Me Made May and how it changed her view on both past and present DIY projects.

Speaking of the perfect summer top - we're challenging you to try the cutout shoulder look in our latest Friday Challenge. How would you create and style this look to make it your own?

What else was on our radar this week:

We spend a lot of time at our computers, but we try to balance that out by doing as much making as possible. Hikaru, Lindsey, and Nora finished up these projects just in time to get started on their next round of DIY'ing.

Give your kitchen an instant upgrade with this great wallpaper covered fridge idea from Aunt Peaches.

Do you have DIY secret weapon? Maddie from the blog Madalynne shares her top secret tool, the iron, as well as her favorite picks and tips.

We think these fabric yarn DIY ideas are great ways to use up old fabric, tee shirts, or awesome jersey yarn like Lion Brand's Zpagetti

We're not sure how long this is going on, but right now all Cynthia Rowley for Simplicity patterns are only $3.99!!! Needless to say, we're stocking up asap!

Other things we're stocking up on asap: the newest Wool People patterns from Brooklyn Tweed. So much knit swooning...

This foldable sewing machine by product designer Richard Burrow has us really intrigued. Could this possibly change how and where we sew...? Maybe?

And last but not least, we're definitely making a few sets of these quick and easy leather tassels from Ms. Renaissance to add to our purses, shoes, belts...

Until next week, happy making!
