I love these flowers.  If they are not too heavy, I think they would make lovely flowers in the border of a quilt instead of appliqued flowers.  If so, then I love the earrings.  That is an awesome idea.  Then a brooch of a lapel to add a pop to the blazer.

OOh - I have some chain and vintage fabric from hubby's grandmother - would be fun to turn it into something like this!!!

  • Marilyn Bennett Tucker commented 5 months ago

I would love to learn to make more kinds of flowers. Thanks for the chance to win.

with my daughter in an irish krewe, i need to make a lot of fabric flowers to match her outfits for different occasions- this book could be just what I need!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

    cute rossete flowers necklace!

  • Cheryl Claassen Baker commented 5 months ago

Love, love the red and white necklace and earrings....what a great use of fabric for this design.

  • Carol Lee Parry commented 5 months ago

The red/white swirl is fantastic!   I think I'd use some tatting with the flower.    And, of course, button or two.    I like flowers on bags + hats.   They seem to go together like a hand and glove.

I use recycled cashmere in a lot of my work and these flowers would be great in cashmere!!

  • Elisabeth commented 5 months ago

The felted pansies are great! I'd like to put them in a chain down the back of a plain top or dress for a pretty surprise.

  • Marilyn Rogers commented 5 months ago

I just love the circular inspiration! I would incorporate a flower hair piece to compliment the collection. Perhaps a circular flower attached to a clip, which could then be added to ones hair in an individualized fashion. A flower clipped on to a ponytail for a freestyle look or perhaps clipped to a bun like hairstyle for night out on the town!

    Would really love this book

A short necklace with five coils is my idea.  The big one in the center, medium size, and flanked with smallest size.  I would use an ombre fabric in the coral red family and mount it on a red satin ribbon for Valentine's Day.  Wear it with a turquoise v-neck so it will pop!

I thought I left a comment!  So, I will try again.  Love the ideas!

OOOoooohhhh...I see rainbows in my future....My granddaughter would love, love, love a barrette with a rainbow flower on it....

  • Deb Dianne commented 5 months ago

I would use felted flowers to spice up my aging wardrobe of very plain hats! I wear all kinds of hats (with my thinning hair, a must!) and they could use some pretty felt flowers, perhaps with pearls inside! Endless possibilities but love the inspiration of these books.

I am trying my hardest to use materials that I already own, so I would come up with something using theses great ideas from my stash.  I have quite a stash!

  • Susie Doucet commented 5 months ago

I love to embellish and I think these little flowers would look wonderful on a doggie coat that I want to make for a raffle.

  • Marybeth Mank commented 5 months ago

I would add sparkle and whimsy with beads and glitter. I might also some crochet embellishments, too. BTW, I love the felted pansies...one of my fave flowers.

  • Judy Kerperien commented 5 months ago

Love love the fabric flowers.  I design peach pit jewelry and would add my peach pits to the fabric jewelry!

  • LeAnne Law commented 5 months ago

Those earrings are seriously cute.  I think they could be used as buttons too.

  • Valerie Wiseman commented 5 months ago

Love the coiled Blossom and I would make a brooch that I could wear or attach to a bag or scarf.

  • Charlou commented 5 months ago

Never thought of the two color geometric fabrics.  I would experiment with the small ones, the earings, to see if they could be used as "beads"  for charms or for a necklace with other odds and ends.

  • Stephanie Mansdoerfer commented 5 months ago

I really like the idea of the long necklaces.  I might try that but maybe experiment with the chain or try something else.  Hmmmm....  Thanks for the opportunity--great to learn about your blog and your site!

  • D Morrison commented 5 months ago

I'd like to try the coils in a bracelet for spring!

  • Pauline Pire commented 5 months ago

Hi!  Love all the pins...They look like fun to make.  I also love

    the Polka Dot!

  • Joni commented 5 months ago

Very Cute! I would use it as a brooch~ maybe in 2 or 3 graduating sizes and pin them on a blazer or sew them to a pillow!

  • Lady_D commented 5 months ago

A coiled flower about the sized used here for earrings would make a nice zipper pull.  I would attach this to the standard metal tab provided with most zippers by stitching through the bottom of the flower and using the existing hole in the original zipper pull.
