Edgy yet elegant, this simple hand chain creates a sexy and offbeat look that will take you less than 15 minutes to make. You can keep it simple with one link of chain, or add in multiple strands for a more heavy-handed statement. Made to measure, this is the perfect hip accessory project to add to your DIY list.
Measure the ring by wrapping chain around the finger you plan to wear it on.
Snip the chain. Don't worry if it's a little too big at first, it's always better to have it be a little larger because it's easier to size down by simply snipping off more chain.
Slip both ends of the chain onto a jump ring and close.
Now measure the bracelet part by wrapping chain around your wrist. Once again don't worry if you have a little too much, you can always size down later.
Add a jump ring to one end of the bracelet chain.
Add another jump ring and lobster clasp to the other end of the bracelet chain.
Take a separate piece of chain (not the bracelet) and attach the end to jump ring of the ring section of your hand chain.
Put the ring onto your finger and measure a piece of chain to your wrist. This is what you will use to connect your bracelet and ring.
Now fold your bracelet chain in half to find the middle link.
Attach a jump ring to the middle link of the bracelet chain and add the other end of the piece that will attach the ring to the bracelet.
When you're finished, your hand chain should look sort of like an armless stick figure.
Slip the ring on your finger, then attach the bracelet around your wrist and you're done!
