Sweet and girly or street style savvy? Oh eff it, why decide?! We love how the pairing of two disparate materials creates one stunning look, perfect for the jewelry novice or the make-and-go pro. Heavy silver chain toughens up silky ribbon for a versatile necklace that can be whipped up quick to dress up a casual outfit, or custom made to match your favorite frock (bridal shower project, anyone?).

Materials: For this project, you will need three lengths of chain: (1) approx. 10 1/2 inches; (1) 12 1/3 inches; (1) 14 inches. You will also need two pieces of satin ribbon between 21-25 inches, depending on the length you would like your necklace to be, and (2) 7mm jump rings.

How-To

Step 1

Begin by opening one of your jump rings

Step 2

Add on your pieces of chain, going largest to smallest, then close jump ring.

Step 3

Open second jump ring and add the other ends of each piece of chain in the same order, then close ring.

Step 4

Feed one end of your ribbon through the jump ring and pull through until the ring is directly in the middle. Repeat with the remaining piece of ribbon on the other end of the chain.
