What is Kollabora?

Kollabora is a new maker community that makes crafting easier: we help you to find and create cool DIY projects.
 
Makers on Kollabora.com share projects, instructions, techniques, supplies and tools they’ve used to create, and ask and answer questions. You can browse and discover original, fashion- and design-forward projects, currently in sewing, knitting, and jewelry making. 
 
Our name comes from collaboro, the Latin word for working together. Collaborative learning FTW!
 
We think it’s about time to have a better alternative to simply buying everything. If you ever made anything, you know how good it feels: looking at it, wearing it, hearing others’ praises for it. It becomes part of you: We are what we make. 
 
We are people who are passionate about making things.
We believe that learning is the new shopping.
We share access to the best tools and resources to make things.

 

How is Kollabora different from other craft sites?

Kollabora offers fresh, of-the-moment projects in fashion and design. We are not about selling finished goods, we support the process of making with a vibrant community, comprehensive instructions, an extensive techniques library and the unique ability to shop for supplies you'll need.

WEBSITE ISSUES

I'm having an issue with the site, what do I do?

I received a 500 or 404 Page Error on one or more of the site's pages. What do I do?

Goodness, let's see if we can figure out what went wrong. Go to our Get Satisfaction page to report the problem and we'll take it from there. https://getsatisfaction.com/kollabora

How do I post in the Q&A section?

Learn by asking! Simply click on Q&A to pose your question about sewing, knitting or jewelry making after you've enetered that category. You also have the ability to share your terrific expertise by responding to the community in the same section.

SHIPPING + RETURNS

What is your return policy?

We stand by the quality of our products and want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If you'd like to make a return or exchange we'll be happy to help you. 

Contact Kollabora Customer Service at knock@kollabora.com or 917-655-7499. A Customer Service Representative is available to assist you Monday through Friday 10am-5pm (EST).

Our team will send you a return authorization code (RA#) and the address to ship your returned product. The RA# must be clearly visible on the outside of each returned package. You must also include your packing slip with your returned items. 

We do not accept returns on fabric or trim that has been cut, dyed or washed. Please note that we do not accept returns, exchanges and credits after 60 days. 

Please allow 10 business days for the return to be processed once it is received at our warehouse. After your return is received and inspected, your refund will be processed and a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 3-7 business days after your credit is applied for it to post to your account. 
 

Does Kollabora ship internationally?

Soon! We're just getting started and can't wait to ship internationally. Thank you for your patience, and please sign up here to be notified when we go global.

There is something missing/broken in my kit, what do I do?

Please allow us to make this right. Email knock@kollabora.com and we'll take care of you.

When will you ship my order and when will I receive it?

Orders are shipped 2-3 days from the date of purchase, Monday to Friday. Once you receive confirmationof your order from Kollabora, please expect your package within 3-4 days.

Can you rush my order?

We apologize, but are not offering rush delivery at this early stage.

If you make it, we will come. Our editorial team is constantly looking through what you're making and uploading, and we love recognizing and rewarding standout projects. Here's a tip: be sure to include high-quality photos that capture your creative adventure.

Partnerships

We won't be focusing on vendors and partners who want to sell on Kollabora.com until the end of 2013 as we are still in process of making Kollabora as cool as possible. Hang tight, we will be ready for you soon and will email you more information on how you can be involved! Just sign up here.

You are welcome to upload photos of finished products and place information on supplies, patterns and tutorials linking back to your site. Once you upload and save your project, the next page that pops up is a place for you link to instructions, where you can upload a PDF, embed your video or even link to another site. There's also a place under supplies where you can link to your site. It's a great opportunity for other users to come by your brand in the meantime.
 
Sharing step by step instructions, gets you great views from other members.
