Acute Dress
by Dana Follow

I made this entirely out of triangles, piecing them together as I went. I am extremely proud of this dress!

I love the bodice! Great way to make the deep V wearable.

This is awesome!! I love the way the contrasting panels exaggerate the shape of the dress! Especially the back! You should feel proud!

Wow, you did an awesome job, I love the fabrics you paired! kudos to you

    Dana replied 8 years ago

Thanks! It's actually just the front and back of the same piece of fabric!

Wow this dress looks great! Sewing on the bias is not easy...

    Dana replied 8 years ago

Thanks! I was actually able to avoid sewing on the bias at all; all the triangles are cut on the grain. I think the weight of the fabric helped to keep the shape.

this is fantastic! and you made it without a pattern?! skills.

You should be very proud, it looks amazing. And it is quite inspiring for a shirt I'm planning to make, I don't have enough fabric of this one piece, so this might be the perfect solution. Thanks for sharing!
