Summer’s here and it’s time to bring the shoulders out. I was going to draft up a pattern from a tee shirt I but I found a Kwik Sew top pattern on sale at Spotlight. It’s Kwik Sew K3880 which I lengthened into a dress and added 2 side slits. The fabric is a cotton jersey in a really cool coloured snake print which I picked up last year .

To lengthen I continued from the side seams at the hip and added about 2 cm in width which I blended to the hem. For the slits, I sewed the seams down to the point I wanted the splits to start and back stitched. I then turned over a narrow hem and top stitched the slits.
