DIY Leaf Garland
by BeColorAnd Follow

It continues to fascinate me immensely, making paper leaves. So on a gray Sunday morning I made these and tied them on a rope, a nice garland, very Urban Jungle style!!

Recap

  • Need: three shades of green paper, scissors, pliers and some string (green)

Make:  fold a piece of scrap paper in half and cut 3 format leaves, about 10, 8 and 6 cm long

    - Use this to cut the colored paper leaves, each leaf on the garland consists two different colors of paper

    - Folding two pieces of colored paper in half and place the 1/2 scrap paper leaf on it and cut

    - Then cut the leaf package on both sides 4x slightly diagonal

    - Now slide the top leaf off and cut in the folded side a thin vertical leaf vein and 3 horizontal veins (the smallest leaf has less veins because of its size!)

    - Put back together and make a hole at the bottom of the leaf

    - Cut a piece of string about 90 cm. Insert the rope from the bottom through the hole of the leaf, repeat this creating a sort of loop so the leaf stays in place)
