Gazon Cardigan

This is the last project I never took the time to photograph, phew! I finished it a little bit more than two months ago but even though I was quite happy with it, I couldn't wear it before one to two weeks ago because of the cold that wouldn't allow me to wear 3/4 sleeves.

Seeing as the (free!) pattern doesn’t come under a 34’’ bust size and I wanted the advised 2’’ of negative ease, I used a smaller needle size than the one needed to get the recommended gauge, and it worked like a charm!

If I remember correctly, I lengthened the body by 2’’ (and it seems that I should have done the same for the sleeves, oh well!). The cardigan remains very short and looks very nice open or closed when paired with a high waisted dress or skirt, but has to be worn open on any other kind of garment (or it looks tragic, believe me!).

Other than that, I didn’t make any modifications. The pattern is very well written, not a single seam involved! Also, thanks to the big gauge, it only took me two weeks to complete the cardigan, now that’s a first!

    I was only saying it looked awful when worn closed on a garment that wasn't high waisted! Other than that, I LOVE it: open on any kind of garment and closed on high waisted ones :-)
