Geo Pencil Skirt

I bought this fabric from The Fabric Store in Melbourne, without having a solid plan for it. Enter B5032, one of the Retro Butterick numbers that I've previously made into the full dress. I planned on using the pencil variation for a skirt.
I didn't toile but as soon as I'd sewed in the double pleats in the front skirt panel, it was clear it was not going to work! Too much extra volume where i need none :)
A quick unpick and some standard darts in the front, and the rest of the skirt came together quickly. I freestyled the waistband and used the fabric's slight cross-grain stretch to pull in any gape-age.
Overall I'm really pleased with how it turned out, and I'm looking forward to wearing it to work :)
