Looking out my kitchen window I can follow the ever changing moods of Hobarts iconic mountain - Kunanyi (or Mount Wellington as it was later named by the English settlers ). The dance of clouds is a big part of this from tiny wisps emerging over it's peak to the solid grey rain bank that rolls over from the west. These just emerged when I was playing around with some lovely locally spun and dyed yarn I found at our LYS in central Hobart while the image of some beautiful fingerless gloves from the Mollie Makes magazine (issue 10) was still floating around in my head. The yarn is a very soft fuzzy lace yarn that I no longer have any record of though it is mainly merino. the trim is perle No. 5 cotton thread.
