Join me in knitting a pair!
We’ll be knitting the Hermione Everyday Sock pattern which is available for free under that link. The KAL begins Monday (August 19th) and will end around September 9th. Jill will be helping to select her favorite executions and there are prizes! Three winners will receive Jill’s newest yarn Esopus, a hand dyed fingering weight 100% superwash merino at 500yds/4oz. Buy Jill's yarn here!
Jill is also offering FREE SHIPPING on all US-based yarn orders using code KOLLABORATION13 at checkout in her Etsy store!
To participate, upload your Hermione socks to Kollabora. It’s really that simple. Be sure to post WIP pictures, too! Go crazy, make them your own, and have fun! Tag your photos with #kollabsockalong on instagram and Twitter!
Day 2: Finished the ribbing. Knit up about 1/2" of the ankle and then ripped it out because I somehow completely screwed up the stitch pattern. Let's try that again...
End of Week 1
The heel flap gave me a lot of trouble. I made an adjustment to the order of the heel flap pattern since I'm working on dpns. I think that's what was screwing me up.
I just changed Row 2 to Row 1 of the Slightly Modified Garter Stitch-edge Eye of Patridge Heel. Here is my Extra Slightly Modified Heel:
Row 1: p3, *k1, sl 1* to last 3 sts, k3
Row 2: k3, p to end
Row 3: p3, *sl 1, K1* to last 3 sts, k3
Row 4: k3, p to end
Finished the first sock on Friday! Had a little trouble with the toe but I just really wasn't playing attention to what I was doing. But check it out!
