Leather Tote Bag

I was in The Fabric Store the other week patting lots of gorgeous leathers wondering what I could buy to make myself a pair of sandals from. I came across a half hide of this vibrant blue leather you see above and knew it was The One. When I unrolled it I realised I had enough to make multiple projects from it and so the idea was born to make myself a bag and a matching pair of shoes. Best. Idea. Ever.
I made a square bottom bag aiming to reduce bulk at the seams and even planned out the straps so that they could fold open without making the bag topple over. I'm really excited by how well it turned out!
Now to make myself a matching pair of sandals for summer!
