A cool mix of marbled colors and jagged textures, this easy-to-make statement necklace project by Kollabora x Jo-Ann is the perfect piece for both layering or wearing alone.
Step 1: Warm the clay using your hands and start to mix the two colors together.
Step 2: Continue to warm the clay and begin to twist the two colors together to create the marbled appearance.
Step 3: Use your razor blade to start cutting and shaping your beads. You will be able to make about 4 large and 3 small beads out of the clay. We used 4 larger and 1 small piece for our finished necklace.
Step 4: Using your eyepin, make a hole on either side of your clay bead (this is where your eyepins will go when you are assembling your necklace later).
Bake beads according to instructions on clay packaging.
Step 5: Secure your eyepins into place on either side of the bead by dotting superglue onto the end of the eyepin and pressing it into the hole.
Step 6: Using two sets of needle nose pliers, link your desired amount of beads together using jumprings, then attach your chain and clasp.
