This winter I was on a search for the perfect button up pattern, and this shirt was my first make on that quest! I chose the pattern from a bit older Burda issue, from 02/2005. I love two piece sleeves and piecing on the back, all in all it's a nice pattern. I did make the mistake and trace the whole pattern in the same size - while it fits my 38 size bust it's small around my 42 size hips so I have to wear it with last two buttons open. Lesson learned for the next time. I also decided to make hidden button placket. It's my first and I kinda made this decision in the middle of the sewing so I'm 99% sure that I didn't do it right, but somehow it works :)
Since I'm self proclaimed fox enthusiast I decided to embroider little peekaboo fox on the pocket. It's basic long and short stitch and I think that it looks so cute. Put a fox on it!
The skirt is also made by me, with pattern #123 from Burda 12/2010. I had fairly small piece of wool so this pattern was perfect since it calls for very little fabric. Unfortunately, at one point I washed the skirt on the wrong program and it shrank, ending up much shorter and tighter. It annoys me dearly but I refuse to give up on it, my skirts often tend to be on a skimpier side anyway so I'm embracing the look :)
