♫ ♪ This Is The One
It’s always nice to have another set of eyes to look for cute and fun fabrics in a store.. That usually happens when I’m with a friend, or in this particular case, my sister.. Together we look a bit strange, I’m all over the store, making funny noises when I find something that I really like, and she follows me, with fabrics that I already picked showing no emotions and having an I’m so bored look.. Until she found this amazing viscose with print of penny-farthings.. Wanting to award her for being patient with me, I bought this fabric to make her a dress.. She has a way of choosing what I’m going to sew for her, and that’s going through my wardrobe.. That way she can try on my stuff and see if it looks good on her or not..
The pattern for this dress is #115 form Burda 12/2002.. Originally the skirt is made of two layers of fabric, one of which is chiffon.. Here skirt has one layer and my addition is metal zipper on the back.. This was a third time I sewed this dress, and it was once more an easy project..
My sister was not the only one crazy about this fabric, you can see what Mokosha and Snave (coming soon) made with their penny-farthing fabrics :)
