pants into shirt and scarf
by SEWING À LA CARTE Follow

My eldest daughter was about to sent one of her sport trousers to the local charity shop. When I saw the grey fabric I had this crazy idea to make it into a more fitting one for me with black pockets. After trying many ways to lay my pattern on the fabric I had to admit it was impossible. A week ago I came across this challenge: Repurpose Reuse Refashion. I turned the sport trouser into a buttoned back shirt, by using a discarded black t-shirt from my youngest daughter for some details and the buttons of an old dress shirt. From the remaining fabric I made a infinity tunnel scarf. I made different block sizes from the grey fabric and sewd them on the black. I love to turn discarded clothes into something new.
