red smear dress
by mokosha Follow

the simplest dress i ever made
just two pattern pieces
(well.. not a real pattern is used
i just folded the fabric and cut into it)
and a several minutes of sewing
finished with serged hems
lately i feel that my style is evolving a bit
i still do love flared skirts with cinched waist lines better
but for some time now i have that need to create and wear more simple things
more organic and less colorful than those i usually wear and make
dunno if it’s just a phase
or my style is going trough some more serious change
but i sure do like the way this dress turned out
even though it’s not my usual aesthetic

I love the print on the fabric! Where did you get it?

i got it at my local fabric shop, here in belgrade.. but it's not really a print, but more a print that went wrong at one part of the fabric (so they cut it off the bolt, and i got it from remnants box, for fraction of a price.. one man's trash is another man's treasure, right?)

Lady I love all the things you make but I do believe this particular make is my all time favourite among all of them!

thanks :) i loved the print, so i tried to simplify the design, so that print gets the lead role
