Rust pencil + tribal crop
by Sophie | A D A  S P R A G G Follow

Two of my favourite patterns here...the Megan Nielsen ‘Briar’ cropped top and Burdastyle stretch pencil skirt.  The fabric is a printed jersey and I drafted a little peplum, pretty roughly, for a bit more coverage but mainly because peplums are fun. And the skirt, I am so impressed with this pattern. It's a a great basic pencil, designed for stretch fabrics, with geometric shapes in the front panel and an exposed zip in the back. I love the length and the fit was so right straight from the pattern and it's on high rotation in m closet. The fabric is a rust merino jersey, which I double layered for all the pieces to make it sturdier.

Both of these pieces look so nice, and so cute together!

That skirt is awesome!!! The front looks great but when you see that exposed golden zipper it makes it really pop!! Really good work :) congrats!

Thanks! The zip is the best feature...
