Silk Sorbetto Refashion
by Peggy Follow

This tank used one thrifted Banana Republic silk skirt + new silk for the front and back yokes + Colette's Sorbetto pattern.  I inverted the pleat, sewing 2.5" down, and lengthened the top by 3".  Yoke has been faced with the thrifted skirt's poly lining using the all-in-one facing technique.

Love the inverted pleat and your placement of the fabric design is fantastic.   Looks like a high end boutique top.  Great job!

Thanks janelle. Getting the placement just right was the reason I had to use a different fabric for the yoke.

Great upcycle and use of the Sorbetto pattern.  I haven't touched my pattern yet, but seeing your rendition makes me want to reconsider that decision.

Thanks Christina.  It took me awhile to get the right size and fit but it was worth it.  It's a super easy pattern and so adaptable. I made muslins in all sizes 0-8 and have lowered the neckline, lowered the armholes, pleated, gathered, added the yoke, etc.
