This year Estonia celebrates its 100th birthday and for that occasion I descided to make my one year old a very unpractical dress - a white silk dress. I used very soft silk noil and cotton muslin for lining. As swallows are national birds of Estonia I added black silk dupioni swallows. I went for a clean look so I did alot of hand stitching.
I "drafted" the pattern myself. It is really simple to make this kind of pattern, because it has no darts. You could just use a shirt for example and make a few changes on the pattern on paper.
I'm really happy with the dress and it is the first tailor made dress she has and will probably be the one to remember.
