Simple Dress (Butterick 5748)
by Maggie Follow

This is a vintage reproduction dress from 1960 printed by Butterick.

The pattern is very simple; I only had to cut out five different pattern pieces.  I shortened the dress by 6.5", took the shoulders in an inch, and added a facing instead of lining.

I'd definitely recommend this pattern for beginners, although it does have a zipper if that makes you nervous.

It's fun putting those extra details in, even if no one can see it.  Thank you :)
