Simplicity Pencil Skirt
by Kollabora Follow

Patterns, patterns everywhere, and we can't get enough of them! We're also a bit smitten with pencil skirts (what girl doesn't love a universally flattering piece?) so we decided to pair two of our favorite things into one beautiful project.

Our version uses Nicole Miller's woven wool in navy with a white ikat print, as it's the perfect weight for a fall and winter wardrobe, and we love how it resembles Navajo blanket designs. The pairing makes for a beautiful contradiction, which seems to scream "adventure!", "class!" and "cozy!" all at the same time.

Don't feel limited by the inherent femininity of the pencil skirt. You can experiment with fabrics and dress this up or down, paired with classic or trendy pieces, to create a style all your own. Don a simple white button up and you're ready for the office, or add quirky layers and funky high tops, and the pencil skirt is street ready and way too cool for school!

Absolutely awesome border print fabric! The fabric gives a simple pencil skirt design so much personality. Well done!
