Ukrainian Embroidered Easter Linen Crop Top Blouse and Wrap Skirt
by Marusya Grace Follow

I’m excited to share with you my Easter outfit! This is the fourth year I’ve made an Easter outfit (inspired by my babcha and Ukrainian heritage).

As soon as I saw 02/2015 #121 and #127 Crop Top and Skirt patterns in the Burdastyle magazine, I knew I had to make it for Easter!
However, my linen didn’t arrive until 2 weeks before Easter!!! With this said, my mom saved me and helped with some of the embroidery!
The embroidery designs are from Ukrainian embroidery books I purchased from Ukraine. Each strip of embroidery is about 20 stitches wide.

I adjusted the back of the skirt. Instead of a 45" wide piece of linen, my back skirt is about 20" wide and gathered to 13 inches.

Overall, I love the crop top and wish I made the skirt with a different material.
