Weaving Hung Through Birch Branch
by Tracing Threads Follow

I'm not sure if I can call this weaving, it's really a lot of twists and knots and wrapping...

This was a ton of fun to make, probably because I threw all weaving rules out the window, and I'm really happy with the final product. I wanted to incorporate a different media in how I hung it, and so I ended up sawing off a piece of birch branch and drilling holes through it. I think the bark compliments the wool well and doesn't look too out of place. I also fed steel rods through the top and bottom to keep it from buckling.
