I love the idea of a blouse that is more ‘dashing’ than shirty and something you could wear after 5pm. I used Burdastyle Hi-Low blouse as a base and borrowed various parts from other patterns. Basically I frankensteined the whatsit out of it until I had a blouse with a cute understated collar, placket sleeves, a curved hem and self cover buttons. The fabric is jam-packed full of woodland critters, printed onto silk crepe de-chine (spoonflower) and colorblocked with a black silk crepe de chine. I split the back into two pieces to add a color-blocked triangle, which was ta-ricky!

I saw that beautiful print on spoonflower a couple of months ago. The print and the cut of the blouse really compliements each other, and the contrast is perfectly assembled. <3

This is the best shirt ever.  Like, if I was ever left unsupervised in your home... I can't guarantee I wouldn't sneak into your closet and steal it!
