Woven Wall Hangings

A great way to use up scrap yarn, these cute little wall hangings make the perfect addition to your DIY wall decor!

  • Step 1: Set up the loom according to the instructions in your kit. 

    Using one of the yarns to wrap around the posts and create your base. Don’t cut the yarn from the ball until you’ve wrapped your entire base.

  • Step 2: Cut about 10 strands of yarn in the same length. Fold the bundle in half, wrap the bundle around one of the yarn strands on your base and pull the ends through the loops as shown in the picture.

    This will create a tassel.

  • Step 3: Add as many tassels to the bottom of your weaving as you like and snip the ends to create a V shape.

  • Step 4: Thread your weaving needle and begin to weave the different yarns through the base yarn

  • Step 5: Continue weaving, altering with different weights and colors, to create your desired pattern. 

    Bind your weaving off according the instructions on your kit. Slide a wooden dowel or stick through the base loops at the top of your piece to hang.
