Knitting 2: Easy Stockinette Stitch

You can use the purl stitch and the knit stitch together to create stockinette – which makes a cool V pattern with the yarn and can be used on everything from sweaters to hats to scarves. 

After you cast on your stitches, knit the first row, then purl the next row. Repeat these two rows until you've reached your desired project length.
