Knitting: How To Knit A Hat
by Kollabora Follow

Who doesn't love a great hat? Our The Great Beanie collection is full of amazing projects and patterns to inspire you. Now we've rounded up the basic techniques and skills you'll need to get started. If you're new to hats or knitting in the round, this How To Knit A Hat skillset is for you!

We'll show you how to knit in the round using circlular needles and double pointed needs, as well as two different cast on methods. The neat edge method is a beginner friendly method for a variety of projects. The tubular cast on is a slightly more advanced technique that looks invisible and gives nice stretchy edges. The tubular cast on is most commonly used for ribbed cuffs and hats.
