I love this dress!!What kind of fabric do you recommend for the pattern? Also I would like to know the yardage required to make size 38 to 42. I have very pretty 2 yard of gauzy fabric but it may not be suitable even with a lining. Thank you.

Hi Yasko, I would recommend a medium weight fabric such as cotton poplin or sateen, wool blends, crepe, chambray, linen, taffeta or brocade. But some seamstresses made it in lighter fabrics (rayon, or silk) and even in knits (remember to cut at least 1 size smaller) and their dresses look amazing.
    The yardage needed is:
    115 cm wide (45") : 2,6 m (3 yards)
    150 cm wide (60"): 2,3 m (2 yards and 1/2)
    Hope this is useful ;)
