Ideal for everyday wear, this modern take on culottes combines the practicality of shorts with the cuteness of a circle skirt. Pattern features a fitted waistband, wonderful drape, invisible side seam zipper and hidden centre front and back pleats to create the illusion of a skirt. Comes in short length and is easily adapted to longer hems.

PDF includes the full size pattern (covering sizes XS to XL) printable at home, and the instructions with detailed directions to help you construct this design.

A well written and straight forward pattern which easily adjusts to a slightly longer length (for those of us without model legs if you use the length of the larger sizes. Choose you fabric carefully if you want to avoid too much sticking out- this is very full. I also made a pair in jersey, as pull ons (some guidance is on my project). It is well worth hanging them for 24hours before hemming as the bias areas on the circles can drop and create an uneven hem. I have found the crotch a bit low and if I make them again I will hoist that up a little.

Highly recommended for for girly bike riding. I have been known to hide padded bottom cycling shorts most successful underneath without looking like I'm wearing a nappy.

I love that these look like a skirt rather than shorts. Easy to sew up too.
