Embroidered Eggs

Real eggshells with real embroidery! I saw a photo of an embroidered egg online and became obsessed with trying to do it myself. It's actually not as impossible as it seems!


How to

In a nutshell (eggshell?), to make these eggs:

1. Use a Dremel tool with a disc cutter to slice off the back of each egg. Empty and wash out the egg.

2. Use a tiny drill bit on the Dremel tool to drill holes in the eggshell.

3. With an embroidery needle and embroidery floss, and working in the pre-drilled holes, create your stitches. Knot the thread on the inside of the egg.
